Econocut = skip tooth which is a shallow gullet tooth shape, the teeth do not have hardened tooth tips which is why the blade is cheaper
Needle Tip = regular tooth shape, a deeper rounded gullet, the teeth tips are hardened which increases the cutting life of the blade, generally about 3 times that of EC blade
Both blades are made from the same grade of high carbon steel finished in a bright polish.
